Prof. Dr. Frank Ulrich Montgomery, a radiologist from Hamburg, is President of the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME). Prior to taking on this role, he served as Vice-President and Treasurer of the CPME.
He is Chairperson of Council of the World Medical Association (WMA) and past President of the German Medical Association (GMA) 2011-2019.
Frederic is Vice Executive Director of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH), the international network of telemedicine/eHealth stakeholders, enhancing collaboration, partnership, and exchange of experience and good practice among its members. The ISfTeH is recognized as NGO in official relations with WHO (World Health Organization). In addition to running the daily operations and development of the ISfTeH, Frederic was responsible for the organization of the ISfTeH’s Med-e-Tel conference in Luxembourg between 2002 and 2017, and he oversees the organization of the annual ISfTeH International Conferences (held annually in collaboration with an ISfTeH member).
Frederic was/is active in several other national and international projects and activities dealing with technological innovation in the home healthcare sector (home automation, assistive technology, telecare, telehealth), telehealth service standards, ICT standards and open service platforms for active and healthy ageing.
